2 Simple Steps to Keep Your Account Safe While Traveling

2 Simple Steps to Keep Your Account Safe While Traveling

July is one of the most popular months to take summer vacation.  While some vactioners will take trips within their home state, many will travel out of state and even to other countries to take in popular destination sites or visit family members.

Make sure your account is safe when traveling with these 2 simple steps:

number one  Set Up Text Alerts

Keep tabs on your money with American Eagle Credit Union’s text alerts service.  You can choose to have alerts sent for activities such as:  low balance, large withdrawals, and weekly balance updates.

The best part?  You can benefit with text alerts even when you’re not traveling, so you’ll always be in the know about changes to your account.

number two  Let us know when you’re traveling!

Letting us know you’re traveling is important.  It assures your card(s) will not be blocked or flagged while on vacation.  Your safety is important to us, so if a transaction is made that appears suspicious—such as out-of-state purchases without notification or irregular purchase behavior—your card(s) may be put on a brief hold.

It’s easy—first, log into your Online Access account.  Select ‘Secure Forms’ and ‘Travel Memo’.  Enter the required fields and your account will be ready to travel with you!

Prefer to call?  American Eagle’s call center is available Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m.-noon, at 1-877-325-2848.
